Sooner ServantsWestside's University Ministry seeks to equip our students to:
This year will be packed with many activities, including yet-to-be-scheduled activities. We will have a wide variety of activities to include the interests of as many students as possible. All of our activities will fulfill one of the goals listed above. Our activities will include meeting on campus at the student union for lunch each week; weekly devotionals held on the OU campus; an "Adopt-a-Student" program which matches students with members of the Westside congregation; and Sunday lunches provided by families at Westside. Other spiritual activities include mission trips, retreats, leadership classes and premarital training. Westside is dedicated to reaching out to members of the churches of Christ on campus as well as being evangelistic among those students who are not Christians. There are more than 20,000 students who attend OU. This is a large and open mission field. Equipping our students to evangelize the OU campus is a primary goal of our university ministry.
